Note: This route follows the free road between Mazatlán and Culiacán, then the
toll road north to Los Mochis.
000.0 Miles (000.0 Km) -- At the intersection north of Mazatlán where
prior log ended. Coming north from Tepic the main highway continues to the right
and is signed for Culiacán, the road to Mazatlán centro and Playas goes left.
This is the ending point of the prior log. The road at this point is four lanes
wide.
000.2 Miles (000.3 Km) -- Pemex #1766 on the left with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It is a large station with truck parking in back.
000.9 Miles (001.5 Km) -- Pemex #6173 on the right with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It’s large with good large vehicle access.
001.6 Miles (002.6 Km) -- Road splits with the toll road going to the
right and the Libre or free road straight. We continue straight taking the free
road.
001.9 Miles (003.1 Km) -- Km 3 marker.
002.1 Miles (003.4 Km) -- Road becomes two lanes.
006.8 Miles (011.0 Km) -- Km 11 marker.
007.0 Miles (011.3 Km) -- Cutoff to the left marked Mazatlán playas. This
road connects with the beaches north of Mazatlán and is an alternate route to
enter the city.
013.2 Miles (021.3 Km) -- Cross the Tropic of Cancer.
019.6 Miles (031.6 Km) -- Pass through the community of Poblado El
Puente.
019.8 Miles (031.9 Km) -- Pass through community of Marmol.

It’s a small station on a big piece of land, great access.

118.0 Miles (190.3 Km) -- Cutoff left for Los Cascabeles.
118.1 Miles (190.5 Km) -- Km marker 193.
121.1 Miles (195.3 Km) -- Pass through the community of Agua Linda.
125.5 Miles (202.4 Km) -- Cutoff right for Laguna Colorado.
127.5 Miles (205.6 Km) -- Pemex #4365 on the left with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It has good access and lots of parking.
127.8 Miles (206.1 Km) -- Cutoff left for Culiacán ring road, straight is
Culiacán centro. We turn left here for the ring road and to connect to the toll
highway to the north.
129.3 Miles (208.5 Km) -- Cutoff right for Culiacán centro, we continue
straight.
133.6 Miles (215.5 Km) -- Cutoff right for Culiacán. The road becomes a
four-lane divided highway.
133.7 Miles (215.6 Km) -- Cutoff right with overpass that takes you south
toward Mazatlán. This is the entrance to the toll road to Mazatlán. We continue
straight.
134.3 Miles (216.6 Km) -- Pemex #3693 on the right with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It has good access for large rigs and truck parking behind.
134.4 Miles (216.8 Km) -- Toll booth. Rates: automobiles – 25 pesos; auto
with trailer – 35 pesos; 2 axles – 33 pesos; 3 axles – 46 pesos; 4 axles – 65
pesos; 5 axles – 85 pesos. We pay 58 pesos, the rate for a two-axle rig (the
motorhome) plus an automobile (the towed pickup).
141.2 Miles (227.7 Km) -- Exit right for San Pedro and La Cuerva. We
continue straight.
146.2 Miles (235.8 Km) -- Pemex #4156 on the right. It as good access
from the northbound lanes and some parking.
152.2 Miles (245.5 Km) -- Vitaruto and La Palma exit, only can be taken
from southbound lanes. We continue straight.
171.8 Miles (277.1 Km) -- Km 63 marker and exit for Zapotillo and La
Reforma. We continue straight.
178.7 Miles (288.2 Km) -- Pemex with no number on left. There is good
access and some parking.
200.0 Miles (322.6 Km) -- Exit right for Guamuchil and Angostura. We
continue straight.
200.2 Miles (322.9 Km) -- Pemex #4618 on left with Magna, Premium, and
diesel. It has good access from the north but not the south and parking in the
rear.
200.3 Miles (323.1 Km) -- Toll booth. Rates: auto – 25 pesos; auto with
trailer – 35 pesos; 2 axles – 33 pesos; 3 axles – 46 pesos; 4 axles – 65 pesos;
5 axles – 80 pesos.
200.4 Miles (323.2 Km) -- Pemex #6059 on the right with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It is a big lot with a small station giving good access and some
parking.
203.2 Miles (327.7 Km) -- Km 115 marker.
209.1 Miles (337.3 Km) -- Cutoff right for Culiacán libre, the free road
south to Culiacán. We continue straight.
210.1 Miles (338.9 Km) -- Pemex #4999 on the left with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It has good access and a little parking.
216.6 Miles (349.4 Km) -- Toll booth. Rates: auto – 17 pesos; 2 axles –
30 pesos; 3 or 4 axles – 30 pesos.
217.2 Miles (350.3 Km) -- Cutoff right for Palos Blancos. We continue
straight.
220.9 Miles (356.3 Km) -- Pemex #1744 on left with Magna, Premium, and
diesel. It has good access from both directions.
224.9 Miles (362.7 Km) -- Cross the Puente Sinaloa and highway begins to
pass through Guasave.
225.2 Miles (363.2 Km) -- Guasave exit to right. We continue straight.
225.8 Miles (364.2 Km) -- Km 147 marker.
226.4 Miles (365.2 Km) -- Leaving Guasave.
236.5 Miles (381.5 Km) -- Pemex #5516 on the left with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It is a small station with good access from the north, there is a
retorno for access from northbound lanes.
243.5 Miles (392.7 Km) -- Pemex #3717 on the right with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It has good access from northbound lanes.
250.4 Miles (403.9 Km) -- Pemex #1741 on the left with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It is a large station with good access from both directions and no
parking.
254.3 Miles (410.2 Km) -- Pemex #4925 on the left with Magna, Premium,
and diesel. It’s large with good southbound access but none northbound. Lots of
truck parking.
259.4 Miles (418.4 Km) -- Km 202 marker.
259.9 Miles (419.2 Km) -- Hotel Colonis on the right, Pemex #1737 on the
left. We are entering Los Mochis. The Pemex has Magna, Premium, and diesel and
good access but is extremely busy and congested, it is a very busy truck stop.
