Route: El Fuerte to Las Glorias
Date: December 9, 2008
Logged By: Mike and Terri Church
Vehicle: Pickup with Camper towing a Jeep Wrangler (40 Ft. Total Length)

This route begins in El Fuerte and follows Highway 23 southwest to Los Mochis. This road is mostly either 2-lane with very wide shoulders or 4-lane. Some construction is still in progress, when completed the road will be mostly 4-lane the entire distance. The road passes through small towns, many have 40 kilometer speed limits and topes. This is not a high speed road.

In Los Mochis the route joins Mex 15 near Km marker 203 and follows it south to Km marker 165. Mex 15 along this section is in excellent condition with new resurfacing and wide shoulders.

We’ll exit Mex 15 and follow a series of 2-lane paved roads through several small towns also with 40 kilometer per hour speed limits and unmarked topes to the small beach town of Las Glorias. This is not a high speed road but is a route easily traveled by any sized RV. We wouldn’t think of driving by Guasave without going out and spending a few days in Las Glorias.
