Route: Melaque to Colima

Note: This log runs from Melaque to Colima. It uses the free Manzanillo bypass but then follows the expensive toll road that runs between Manzanillo and Tecoman. The rates are noted at Mile 53.7 of the log.

000.0 Miles (000.0 Km) – At the intersection in Melaque where Mex 200 turns toward Manzanillo. This is mile 132.4 of the prior log. We have turned left and are headed south on Mex 200.

000.2 Miles (000.3 Km) – Main road into Melaque goes to the right – there is a dolphin statue here and a median strip with palms and the road is paved. We continue straight.

001.3 Miles (002.1 Km) – Road to Barra de Navidad goes to the right. We continue straight.

001.4 Miles (002.3 Km) – Pemex #0523 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel.

003.1 Miles (005.0 Km) – Km 56 marker.

009.6 Miles (015.5 Km) – Enter city of Cihuatlαn.

009.7 Miles (015.6 Km) – Turn right at the first light – signed for Manzanillo and Colima. This takes us a block to the right, this is a short bypass route around the central avenue of the city.

009.8 Miles (015.8 Km) – Follow the road left

010.3 Miles (016.6 Km) – Rejoins the highway coming in to town from the south (signed for Manzanillo) just before the puente.

011.5 Miles (018.5 Km) – Km 42 marker.

012.1 Miles (019.5 Km) – Short detour (desvacion) to the left around a bridge under reconstruction.

014.1 Miles (022.7 Km) – Manzanillo Aeropuerto turnoff to the right. We continue straight.

024.7 Miles (039.8 Km) – Km 20 marker.

025.0 Miles (040.3 Km) – Tecoman/Colima (sign says libre) to the left and Manzanillo to the right – we go left – a big new interchange being built here. At one time tolls on this bypass route heading south started here, but now this is a free bypass around town.

025.6 Miles (041.3 Km) – Km 110 marker.

034.9 Miles (056.3 Km) – Exit to the right, we continue straight.

035.1 Miles (056.6 Km) – Km 94 marker.

036.5 Miles (058.9 Km) – Old Caseta de Cobra (toll booth) – closed now.

036.7 Miles (059.2 Km) – Manzanillo Centro to right – straight is Colima Cuota – the road becomes 4-lane here. We continue straight.

037.0 Miles (059.7 Km) – Colima Libre goes right – we stay straight on the cuota but the free road to Colima starts here, get off if you don’t want to pay a toll. It’s a high one, see rates below.

037.6 Miles (060.6 Km) – Km 88 marker.

039.1 Miles (063.1 Km) – Pemex #7932 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel.

041.4 Miles (066.8 Km) – Puente Tepalcates and the road goes to 2 lanes over the bridge and then goes back to 4 lanes.

042.2 Miles (068.1 Km) – Exit to Campos to the right (no toll to here and no booth at the exit).

042.4 Miles (068.4 Km) – Km 80 marker.

053.7 Miles (086.6 Km) – Toll booth. Rates: Autos – 89 pesos; 2 Axles – 175 pesos; 3 Axles – 216 pesos; 3 Axles Sencillo (no duals) 135 pesos; 4 Axles – 264 pesos; 5 Axles – 297 pesos; 6 Axles – 360 pesos; 7 Axles – 407 pesos; 8 Axles – 449 pesos; 9 Axles - 469 pesos.

054.0 Miles (087.1 Km) – Km 61 marker.

061.9 Miles (099.8 Km) – El Paraso Exit just after Km 48 to the right – max height is 3.1 meters. We continue straight.

064.0 Miles (103.2 Km) – Armerνa exit to the right – straight is Colima – end of cuota but road is still 4 lane divided with shops on the sides of the road. We continue straight.

064.1 Miles (103.4 Km) – Km 44 marker.

064.8 Miles (104.5 Km) – Pemex #6629 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel.
a lot of room for parking – no access from the other direction.

065.5 Miles (105.6 Km) – Pemex #4223 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel.
Smaller with no parking and no access from this direction.

066.2 Miles (106.8 Km) – Tecoman and L Cardenas turnoff (Mex 200 to the right) – we stay left for Colima. This is the turnoff if you wish to drive south on Mex 200 toward Playa Azul, Zihuatanejo, Acapulco, etc.

067.1 Miles (108.2 Km) – Km 38 marker.

067.3 Miles (108.5 Km) – Retorno (U-turn route).

067.4 Miles (108.7 Km) – Pemex going in on the right – no signs yet.

069.5 Miles (112.1 Km) – Retorno (U-turn route).

071.8 Miles (115.8 Km) – Pemex #8238 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel. Roomy station with good access (this direction only) but no parking.

072.5 Miles (116.9 Km) – Km 29 marker.

072.8 Miles (117.4 Km) – Exit for Tecolapa to the right. We continue straight.

074.7 Miles (120.5 Km) – Retorno.

075.0 Miles (121.0 Km) – Ixtlahuacan exit to the right.

075.6 Miles (121.9 Km) – Retorno.

083.4 Miles (134.5 Km) – Pemex #4648 with magna, premium, and diesel on the left just after Km 11. Very large station with access from both directions and there is room to park.

088.0 Miles (141.9 Km) – Km 3 marker.

077.1 Miles (124.4 Km) – Campo de Golf (golf course).

088.3 Miles (142.4 Km) – Pemex #3307 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel. Big with good access but no parking.

088.6 Miles (142.9 Km) – Pemex #8133 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel. Big with lots of parking.

089.7 Miles (144.7 Km) – Exit for Colima/Jiquilpan. The city is just to the west. This is Km 0.
