Note: This log runs from Huatabampo to Las Glorias, a beach town just west of
Guasave (south of Los Mochis). There is one toll station en route, just north of
Los Mochis.
000.0 Miles (000.0 Km) - Turn right signed
for Los Mochis. This is Mile 157.0 of the previous day’s log.
001.2 Miles (001.9 Km) -- Pemex #3777 on the right with magna, premium,
and diesel. Lots of room – even some room for parking but this is an urban
location, not great for overnighting.
Enter La Union at the Pemex.
008.7 Miles (014.0 Km) -- Road to the left is to Navajoa – this is a
shorter libre around the toll booth south of Navajoa if you are traveling
northbound.
015.3 Miles (024.7 Km) -- Another route to bypass the toll booth goes
left. This one is a very rough gravel road used by some trucks. A toll is
charged but it’s less than the one charged on Mex 15.
016.4 Miles (026.5 Km) -- At Mex 15 and we turn south.
018.1 Miles (029.2 Km) -- Km 126 marker.
037.4 Miles (060.3 Km) -- Enter Ejido Tierra Y Libertad/ Estacion Luis
038.6 Miles (062.3 Km) -- Pemex #3560 on the right with magna, premium,
and diesel. Large station with a little bit of parking.
Leaving the town here.
039.1 Miles (063.1 Km) -- Km 91 marker.
051.7 Miles (083.4 Km) -- End of Only Sonora program. Enter the state of
Sinaloa.
051.9 Miles (083.7 Km) -- Km 70 marker.
053.8 Miles (086.8 Km) -- Fitozoosanitaria stop. We’re waved through.
055.3 Miles (089.2 Km) -- Military stop – not active today.
060.9 Miles (098.2 Km) -- Km 56 marker.
061.1 Miles (098.5 Km) -- Pemex #8025 on the left with magna, premium and
diesel.
061.5 Miles (099.2 Km) -- Km 55 marker.
061.7 Miles (099.5 Km) -- Turn off left is for El Fuerte. This is a free
route around the next toll booth, but it’s long and not a major road.
062.1 Miles (100.2 Km) -- Km 54 marker.
069.6 Miles (112.3 Km) -- Pemex #8336 on the right with magna, premium,
and diesel. It’s a nice big station with an Oxxo convenience store but no
parking.
082.0 Miles (132.3 Km) -- Km 20 marker.
082.1 Miles (132.4 Km) -- Toll Booth – We pay $46 Pesos. Rates: Autos –
46 pesos; Two, three, and four axles – 82 pesos; Five and Six Axles – 116 pesos;
Seven , eight, and nine axles – 147 pesos; Extra axles – 26 pesos, Extra cargo
axles – 40 pesos.
084.6 Miles (136.5 Km) -- Pemex #1755 m/d/p on the left.
092.8 Miles (149.7 Km) -- Pemex #7855 on the right with magna, premium,
and diesel.
093.9 Miles (151.5 Km) -- Pemex #2540 on the left with magna, premium,
and diesel. Room for some parking.
Exit for road into Mochis and to El Fuerte in the other direction. If you took
the bypass route through El Fuerte at Mile 61.7 above this is where you’d rejoin
Mex 15.
094.0 Miles (151.6 Km) -- Km 204 marker.
094.4 Miles (152.3 Km) -- Pemex #7027 on the left with magna, premium and
diesel.
095.2 Miles (153.5 Km) -- Pemex #1737 on the right magna, premium, and
diesel. This is a huge station and is very busy. A possible overnight stop.
096.4 Miles (155.5 Km) -- Km 200 marker.
096.8 Miles (156.1 Km) -- Turn off right for Pemex #7407 which is really
on the other side of the road, it’s reached via an underpass. Station has magna,
premium, and diesel. It’s big, modern, and has some overnight parking, a
possible overnight stop.
100.7 Miles (162.4 Km) -- Pemex #4925 on the right with magna, premium
and diesel.
104.5 Miles (168.5 Km) -- Pemex #1741 on the right with magna, premium
and diesel.
111.2 Miles (179.4 Km) -- Pemex #3717 on the left with magna, premium and
diesel. There’s no access southbound.
117.1 Miles (188.9 Km) -- Retorno (U-turn route).
117.5 Miles (189.5 Km) -- Km 165 marker.
118.1 Miles (190.5 Km) -- Pemex #5516 on the right with magna, premium
and diesel.
118.4 Miles (191.0 Km) -- Pemex #7495 on the left with magna, premium and
diesel.
118.4 Miles (191.0 Km) -- Exit right to Huitussi also signed for Playa
Las Glorias. We turn right here and leave Mex 15.
123.2 Miles (198.7 Km) -- Turn left for San Fernando. We turn left.
133.9 Miles (216.0 Km) -- Pemex #4715 on the left with magna, premium and
diesel. A T just past the Pemex we turn left
136.3 Miles (219.8 Km) -- Pemex (no number) on the right and the turn off
to Tamazula is to the left. We continue straight.
138.6 Miles (223.5 Km) -- At a T we turn left – signed for Las Glorias
153.4 Miles (247.4 Km) -- Village Boca del Rio to the left, we continue
straight.
154.7 Miles (249.5 Km) -- Enter Las Glorias.
