Today's route continues south along the Mex 15 corridor. A great deal of the day is spent on back roads as we bypass the toll booth at Guaymas, the toll booth north of Ciudad Obregon, the toll booth south of Ciudad Obregon, and the toll booth south of Navojoa.

000.0 Miles (000.0 Km) -- On the road through Guaymas at the San Carlos turnoff. This is Mile 177.4 of the previous day’s log.

003.2 Miles (005.2 Km) -- Entering Guaymas. Pemex # 1637 on the right with magna, premium and diesel.

003.3 Miles (005.3 Km) -- Pemex #8051 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel.

003.9 Miles (006.3 Km) -- Miramar turnoff to the right, continue straight (left fork) at Y.

045.1 Miles (072.7 Km) -- Congested area with a military stop for northbound traffic – town of Potam to the right.

059.5 Miles (096.0 Km) -- Enter town of Vicam.

051.0 Miles (082.3 Km) -- Pemex on the left – no number – it looks like it is closed.

052.2 Miles (084.2 Km) -- Pemex #4779 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel. Appears to be suitable for overnighting with big parking lot and Oxxo store.

053.3 Miles (086.0 Km) -- Km 44 marker.

063.9 Miles (103.1 Km) -- Km 26 and we exit to the right for Bacum. There is no libre sign but this is the route to bypass the toll station north of Ciudad Obregon.

066.9 Miles (107.9 Km) -- Enter village of Bácum.

067.0 Miles (108.1 Km) -- Pemex # 3353 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel and we stay to the right – signed for Cd Obregon and Navajoa – the road straight goes into the town of Bácum.

067.4 Miles (108.7 Km) -- The road makes a right angle turn to the left. We follow it.

067.8 Miles (109.4 Km) -- There is a stop sign and then we turn right.

069.5 Miles (112.1 Km) -- Pemex #5388 on the right with magna, premium and diesel. This is a T and we turn left signed for Cd Obregon.

075.0 Miles (121.0 Km) -- Entering Providencia, population 4,635.

075.1 Miles (121.1 Km) -- Pemex #4577 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel.

076.5 Miles (123.4 Km) -- Pemex #7663 on the right with magna, premium and diesel. We turn right – this road is signed for Los Mochis – just after the turn there is a lake on the left.

076.9 Miles (124.0 Km) -- Instituto Technilogico on the left after the lake.

077.7 Miles (125.3 Km) -- Pemex #7552 on the left magna and premium and we turn left – signed for Cd Obregon. – 4 lane blvd with a row of trees dividing the lanes.

078.5 Miles (126.6 Km) -- Pemex #1269 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel.

078.6 Miles (126.8 Km) -- Soriana supermarket on the left.

079.2 Miles (127.7 Km) -- Pemex #5869 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel.

080.3 Miles (129.5 Km) -- At a big waterfall circle in the middle of the road we meet up again with Highway 15. Pemex #5755 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel at this intersection. We turn right onto Mex 15. We are at the southern edge of Ciudad Obregon and have bypassed the town.

080.4 Miles (129.7 Km) -- New Pemex on the right, no number yet.

080.5 Miles (129.8 Km) -- Ley supermarket on the right.

081.1 Miles (130.8 Km) -- Pemex #6116 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel. May be suitable for overnight stay, has a very large parking lot in the back.

082.0 Miles (132.3 Km) -- Km 220 marker.

087.4 Miles (141.0 Km) -- Km 211 marker.

087.8 Miles (141.6 Km) -- Pemex #3539 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel. This is probably suitable for overnighting with a big lot in the back for trucks – also has showers and an Oxxo convenience store.

088.4 Miles (142.6 Km) -- Aeropuerto to the right.

094.5 Miles (152.4 Km) -- Km 199 marker.

095.1 Miles (153.4 Km) -- Entering town of Fundicion. Pemex #1262 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel. May be suitable for overnighting. Gravel lot for parking in the back and has an Oxxo convenience store.

095.7 Miles (154.4 Km) -- We turn right, signed for Villa Juárez (nothing says libre) – just before Km 197. This is the beginning of the bypass around the toll booth south of Ciudad Obregon.

098.7 Miles (159.2 Km) -- Km 5 marker (Hwy 135).

104.4 Miles (168.4 Km) -- Enter an unsigned town – probably Jecopaco.

105.0 Miles (169.4 Km) -- Pemex #5937 on the left with magna, premium, and diesel and then we are out of town. Station would be tight for fueling big rigs.

110.1 Miles (177.6 Km) -- Turn left at a T signed Navajoa Hwy 158. Now on a very nice wide 2 lane road with very wide shoulders (just for a short distance).

112.0 Miles (180.6 Km) -- Enter a small unsigned town which has three topes (probably Agua Blanca).

112.5 Miles (181.5 Km) -- Out of town.

126.7 Miles (204.4 Km) -- Back at Hwy 15 and we turn south (notice that going north this turn it is marked for the libre).

127.6 Miles (205.8 Km) -- Km 166 marker.

129.9 Miles (209.5 Km) -- Enter unsigned town – vibradores.

130.5 Miles (210.5 Km) -- Pemex #4143 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel. We’ve overnighted here in the past, lots of noisy trucks.

131.6 Miles (212.3 Km) -- At the bridge at Km 159 marker. Entering Navojoa.

135.3 Miles (218.2 Km) -- Turn off right signed Los Mochis Libre. We turn right, this route avoids the toll booth south of Navojoa.

135.7 Miles (218.9 Km) -- Pemex #8572 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel.

136.2 Miles (219.7 Km) -- We turn left and Pemex # 2137 is on the right as soon as we turn.

136.8 Miles (220.6 Km) -- Km 2 marker.

141.6 Miles (228.4 Km) -- Turnoff right is for the Universidad.

149.4 Miles (241.0 Km) -- Km 23 marker.

149.8 Miles (241.6 Km) -- Enter town of Etchojoa.

150.4 Miles (242.6 Km) -- Straight is Huatabampo and right is Bacobampo – we go straight.

150.7 Miles (243.1 Km) -- Pemex on the right – no # and we are out of Etchojoa.

151.2 Miles (243.9 Km) -- Cross RR tracks.

151.7 Miles (244.7 Km) -- Km 27 marker.

155.3 Miles (250.5 Km) -- Ley supermarket on the right. Entering city of Huatabampo.

155.4 Miles (250.6 Km) -- Pemex #7596 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel.

155.8 Miles (251.3 Km) -- Pemex #2148 on the left with magna, premium and diesel.
We turn left just after Pemex.

155.9 Miles (251.5 Km) -- Turn left – there is a statue in the middle of the road here.

156.2 Miles (251.9 Km) -- We turn left as directed by police. There is a parade ahead so we have to detour. This is one block sooner than where we wanted to turn. The road we want to go east on is Juarez.

156.3 Miles (252.1 Km) -- Now we turn left on Juarez.

156.6 Miles (252.6 Km) -- Pemex #2147 on the right with magna, premium, and diesel.

157.0 Miles (253.2 Km) -- We turn right for Huatabampito. This will be the starting point of the following day’s log. If you don’t want to overnight in Huatabampito do not turn here, go to following day’s lot.
