The Trossachs
The Trossachs where the Lowlands and Highlands meet are Scotland's most accessible wilderness. They're located just north of Glasgow and west of Sterling. They're known as the home of the famed Scottish hero Rob Roy.
You never know when you'll run into a Scotsman dressed in formal wear playing his bagpipes in the middle of any empty field. We came across this one on the drive along a narrow two-lane rural road through The Trossachs.
