Itinerary 2 - France's Loire Valley to London

    290 Miles

    3 Overnight Destinations

Two short driving days (225 miles) brought us to the port city of Dieppe. The 2-hour crossing to Newhaven aboard the high speed luxury Superseacat cost 112.5 Euros ($99 USD). After an overnight in Brighton and a 50-mile introduction to driving on the left side of the road, we arrived in London. The first stop in Great Britain was (just as when we first arrived onto the European Continent) to an ATM machine. Although Great Britain is a member of the European Union they retain their currency, the pound. At the time of our visit one pound was the equivalent of $1.44 USD. ATM machines are located all throughout Great Britain, usually even in smaller towns and villages.
