Chenonceau

Any visit to the Loire must include tours of several of the the magnificent chateaux. Most people's favorite is Chenonceau located near the small town of Bléré. There's a municipal campground less than a half mile from the entrance to the chateau. This is another place where free camping is provided for self-contained motorhomes. No facilities are available other than a grass lot (next to the railroad track) for parking. The camping lot sits just next to the parking lot of the chateau.

The chateau is flanked by gardens on each side, one yellow and one pink.
