Dunnet Head and John O'Groats compete for tourists wanting to get just as far north as they can during their trip to the north. Dunnet head is really farther north, but probably more people visit John O'Groats since it is the port for a ferry out to Burwick in the Orkney Islands.

Below right - John O'Groats is better known than Dunnet Head, but it's not really as far north.
