Caernarfon

During the 13th century King Edward I of England built a series of castles to help secure his claim to Wales. The small town of Caernarfon is home to one of them, it is the customary site for the investiture of the Prince of Wales, the eldest son of the royal family. Prince Charles became the Prince of Wales here in 1969.
