Other Museums
Amsterdam has over 75 museums covering many aspects of its history and culture. We don't usually visit more than one museum in a day, otherwise we quickly find ourselves with "museum burnout." Each time we return to Amsterdam we try to see a couple of different museums and sometimes revisit a favorite from prior trips. Here's a couple of the museums we paid a visit to this trip.
The Scheepvaart Museum is Netherland's National Maritime Museum. Moored at the museum and included with the tour is a replica of an East Indiaman, the Amsterdam.
This is the old Heineken brewery and it's here you can enjoy the "Heineken Experience." This tour is a fun change of pace from the more formal museums. Not only did we learn how Heineken is brewed, we got more samples than we could drink and left with a parting gift of two Heineken glasses packed in tins, an appreciated addition to our RV furnishings.
